Laser Tattoo Removal
Are you fed up with that tattoo? Is it holding you back, reminding you of the past?
Man has tattooed himself since time began but it is only advances in 21st Century Laser Physics that has enabled him to remove his tattoo.
We have hundreds and hundreds of clients who have safely completed their course of treatment and no longer have a tattoo, say’s Heidi Bunting, Laser Practitioner at the Clinic. Tattoo removal has an enormously positive impact on clients: it simply changes their lives.
Medical Director Dr Yeang agrees “a recent dermatological survey recognised that 75% of those who get a tattoo are unhappy with it in the first year. However, it then takes 14 years on average for a patient to do something about removing it. Options for removal are limited. You either keep it until the day you die, try surgical removal or opt for laser treatment.
He also thinks there are health grounds to remove a tattoo, according to a recent European Commission report on the chemical hazards of tattooing; some pigments used in the process of tattooing have been linked with industrial dyes such as carpet dye and car paint.
An amateur tattoo can be removed on average with between 1-10 treatments, whilst a professional tattoo can take twice as long. The treatment is not available on the NHS as it is seen as a cosmetic procedure.
