Welcome to Aesthetika Skin Peel Clinic

Peels are solutions that are painted or applied onto the skin, they have many uses and are commonly used to improve the general appearance of your skin.

There is such a huge range of peels available for you to choose from today and some are scientifically proven to reduce surface roughness, thus reducing the visible appearance of superficial lines and wrinkles.

Peels can also be used to lighten and brighten the colour of skin by treating areas of pigmentation and sun damaged skin. Some types of peels have also been clinically proven to have a positive effect in the treatment and management of active acne and acne scarring and others can reduce pigmentation

( brown marks ) caused through over exposure to the suns rays and those that we commonly see in skin that is ageing.

How do Peels Work?

The peel solution can be applied to different body areas, however its the face, neck, décolletage and hands that are the commonest areas that we treat.

Once applied the peel solution works by temporarily altering and changing the acid or pH balance of the skin and its this disruption that causes a small injury or trauma which in turn triggers the stimulation and repairs the skin and produces new skin cells.

When used appropriately peels can improve the general appearance of your skin by reducing roughness making your skin look and feel smoother, appearing lighter, brighter and more luminescent, creating what appears to be more youthful looking skin.

AESTHETIKA use different types of peels depending on which skin condition or problem we are treating. Our most popular peel is the Glycolic Acid Peel, this is a natural plant based soya solution and we use these to reduce surface roughness.

Are Facial Skin Peels Permanent?

No.

They will need repeating and the best results are always seen when the peel treatments are given as a course of three or five treatments and then regularly maintained every month.

If used inappropriately Chemical Skin Peels can cause injury and damage skin, and this may be permanent.
