Eye Lift

A Blepharoplasty is commonly known as an ‘Eye Lift’.

It is normal for the upper and lower eyelids to age over time, creating loose skin which can cause hooding of the upper lid and puffiness of the lower lids.

A Blepharoplasty is a surgical option to change the shape of the lids and is performed on both men and women.

There are many different procedures that can be done to change the shape of the lids and eyebrows. A surgical eye lift should be performed by a specialist surgeon who will discuss your expectations along with all your options, the risks and complications of the surgery.

Surgery produces a permanent change to skin and the underlying structures and can result in visible scars. Blepharoplasty eyelid scars may be hidden inside the creases of the eyelids and as times goes by the appearance of the eyes and overlaying skin will continue to change.

Blepharoplasty is one of the most common surgical procedures undertaken on both men and women, for best results it will require repeating approximately every ten years or more to keep the results looking fresh. Maintenance is essential after surgery and this can be achieved using rejuvenating cosmetic injections, peels and a good skin care regime. Sunscreen is essential and the use of good sunglasses to protect the eyes from the suns harsh rays. There is no doubt that a blepharoplasty can open up the eyes creating a more enhanced appearance, if is done well by an experienced surgeon it can enhance facial appearance.

All surgery comes with risk, ensure you know what those risks are.
