Cheryl Barton, AESTHETIKA Clinic Sheffield, Managing Director and Lead Nurse since 2004. Cheryl is a very experienced Nurse. Over 25 years Full Time practice within the NHS and over 20 years in Independent Healthcare Practice.
Cheryl is a NMC Registered Nurse, a full member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) , a founding member of the Private and Independent Aesthetic Practitioners Association (PIAPA) and was appointed Consultant Editor of The Journal of Aesthetic Nursing in 2014. She is also a Specialist Visiting Lecturer at University of Salford teaching Non Surgical Facial Aesthetics at Level 7 and previously teaching Aesthetics and Ethics at Sheffield Hallam University.
She has a wealth of experience and expertise in pioneering new products and procedures and in delivering excellence to patients; back in the last century she was one of the first to bring ‘Botox Injections’ to Sheffield and has undergone extensive Medical Aesthetic Training in UK and throughout Europe’s capital cities over the past decades.
She appeared in the press recently and featured in a Channel 5 News Special in 2014 following her efforts behind the scenes with MHRA to stop public access to a rogue website offering public access to online Botox and Fillers and successfully ensured the UK end was closed down.
She works tirelessly campaigning to improve regulation within the Aesthetic Sector to ensure a safer patient journey and passionately believes that Cosmetic Injections are a medical intervention and as such should only ever be made available to the public via Doctors, Dentists and Nurses within a Clinical setting and firmly believes that the New Frontier in The Aesthetic Wild West is The Internet of Everything.
