Laser Tattoo Removal in Sheffield

Welcome to The Sheffield Laser Tattoo Removal Clinic

What is the laser used for?

The Q Swiched Yag Laser is used to remove unwanted professional and amateur tattoos from the Face and Body.

How does the laser work?

When the coloured ink in the tattoo is targeted by the Laser it causes the pigment ( ink ) to break up into small particles and these are then naturally eliminated from the body.

Can a laser really remove my tattoo?

Yes

A Q Switched Yag laser is very effective at removing most coloured inks, however the reds and green pigments can be problematic even with the new generation technology that a Q Switched Yag Laser brings and there is no guarantee that the laser will remove the tattoo completely.

Are There Any Special Precautions ?

Yes.

These will be explained in detail at the Consultation.

We cannot treat you if you are on certain medications or are pregnant or breastfeeding, and there are certain medical conditions that are not compatible with Laser Treatment. The area to be treated must not be tanned and we will explain why and advise you on staying Sun Smart and the precautions you will need to take to protect the treatment area from the sun.

Is the treatment permanent?

Yes

How Many Treatments Will I Need ?

This depends on several things, such as is this a professional or amateur tattoo, the size and colours in the tattoo, whether it is a cover up and if you’ve had any previous treatment. As a rough guide an amateur tattoo will take anything from 1-10 treatments and maybe more, whereas a professional tattoo will take anything from 10-20 treatments and maybe more.

How Often Do I Need to Attend for a Treatment?

Every 4 to 8 weeks

Each treatment will fade the tattoo, most patients attend regularly each month, however others take breaks especially around the summer months when they cannot comply with the guidance on keeping the area untanned.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Yes

Lasers can cause serious injuries to the eyes and skin when used inappropriately. We will discuss all your options for treatment at the consultation as well as the side effects and complications that may occur from using a laser to remove a tattoo.

How much does it cost?

A Test Patch is £35

Treatment prices start from £50 upwards

A written payment plan will be issued on Consultation

his is another World Class treatment using 21st Century Laser Technology. Prior to Laser Tattoo Removal your options were to keep the unwanted tattoo, cover it up or try a dangerous and untested DIY method of removal. Surgical removal was available, but left very unsightly scars and a skin graft was often performed leaving not one but two scars and chemical therapies are still available but the risks far outweigh the benefits.

NEVER BE TEMPED to buy a DIY tattoo kit from the internet, they won’t work and are likely to cause you harm. Read More….
